How to Connect via App Password (Recommended)

To ensure a stable connection for your warm-up campaigns, we recommend connecting your Gmail or Google Workspace account using an App Password. This bypasses the stability issues sometimes found with OAuth.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that 2-Step Verification is enabled on your Google Account. Google will not allow you to create an App Password without it.

Step 1: Access Google Security Settings

Log in to your Google Account and navigate to the Security tab on the left-hand sidebar.

Step 2: Navigate to App Passwords

Click on 2-Step Verification. Scroll to the very bottom of that page and click on App Passwords.

๐Ÿ’ก Note: If you cannot find this option, use the search bar at the top of your Google Account page and type "App Passwords."

Step 3: Generate the Password

  1. Under App name, enter a custom name so you recognize it later (e.g., "Warmbox").

  2. Click Create.

Step 4: Copy your unique code

A pop-up will appear with a 16-character code in a yellow box.

  • Copy this code immediately. * You do not need to memorize it, and you won't see it again once you close the window.

Step 5: Finalize the Warmbox Connection

Return to Warmbox and follow these steps:

  1. In the Inbox tab, click Add new inbox.

  2. Select Gmail - Gsuite and click Next.

  3. Choose the Credentials option.

  4. Enter your full email address, but paste the 16-character App Password into the password field instead of your regular Gmail password.

โš ๏ธ Why we recommend this over OAuth โš ๏ธ

While "Sign in with Google" (OAuth) is faster, Google often triggers security refreshes that can pause your warm-up campaigns unexpectedly. Using an App Password provides a dedicated "tunnel" for Warmbox, ensuring your emails keep sending without interruption.
