Reconnect your inbox after token expiration

Written by Team Warmbox
Updated this week

If your warm-up campaign has suddenly paused, it is likely because Google has revoked the security token. This happens periodically for security reasons, especially if you are using the "Sign in with Google" (OAuth) method.

To get your warm-up back on track, you simply need to refresh the connection.

πŸ’‘ The Permanent Fix: Use an App Password

Tired of refreshing? Google SSO (OAuth) is prone to frequent disconnections.

To prevent your campaigns from pausing in the future, we strongly recommend switching to a Google App Password. It is the most stable connection for warm-up tools. πŸ‘‰ How to create a Google App Password

Step 1: Open your Campaign Analytics

Log in to your Warmbox dashboard. Identify the Gmail/Google Workspace campaign that is currently "Paused" and click on its Analytics tab.

Step 2: Click "Edit Connection"

Inside the analytics view, you will see a notification that the connection has expired. Click the Edit warm-up button to open the re-authorization window.

Step 3: Re-authorize your Google Account

In the pop-up window, click on Previous to go back to the connection page.

You now have 2 options to restart your campaign:

Option A: Enter Google Credentials (Recommended)

  1. Enter your Gmail address.

  2. Enter your 16-character Google App Password (not your regular Gmail password).

  3. Click Next.

Option B: Sign in with Google

  1. Click the "Sign in with Google" button.

  2. Select your account and click Allow to grant Warmbox permission.

Note: This method is faster but may require you to repeat these steps again in a few weeks.

Step 4: Resume your Warm-up

Once the connection is verified, Warmbox will automatically resume your sending schedule. You’re all set! πŸŽ‰

Still can't reconnect?

If Google keeps rejecting your connection:

  • Verify 2-Step Verification: Ensure 2FA is still ON in your Google Security Settings.

  • New App Password: If your old App Password isn't working, delete it in Google and generate a brand new one.

  • Reach out: If you're stuck, send us a message via the live chat in the bottom right of your screen or send us an email at [email protected].
